Dr. Fitzsimons graduated from Fordham University in 1987 with B.S. in Chemistry. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from New York University College of Dentistry in 1991. After holding two positions as an associate, Dr. Fitzsimons opened her own private practice in Maspeth, Queens in November 1994. Dr. Fitzsimons prides herself in embracing the best in dental technology and staying current with the latest dental procedures and techniques. She attends numerous continuing education seminars and symposiums every year. Dr. Fitzsimons is proficient in all phases of general and cosmetic dentistry for the entire family. Additionally, she is certified in Laser Dentistry and is a member of the International Dental Implant Association. Dr. Fitzsimons enjoys mentoring young people who aspire to a career in dentistry and regularly hosts interns at the practice. Dr. Fitzsimons is married and lives in Maspeth with her husband, Tom, and their three sons, Barry, Brogan and Brendan. Their daughter, Bronwyn, lives in Westchester. She has strong ties to her Irish heritage and visits Ireland (Cavan and Longford) regularly. Outside of the office, Dr. Fitzsimons loves pilates, working on home improvement projects, and spending time with her grand-daughter.
Dr. Fitzsimons' daughter, Dr. Bronwyn Hagan, has lived and breathed dentistry since she was a toddler. She graduated from The City College of New York, CUNY with a B.S. in Biology and in Psychology. Dr. Hagan earned her doctorate at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry and pursued an additional year of training in their Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency program, where she served as Chief Resident. During her training, Dr. Hagan received national awards for her research in palate development, she volunteered around the world on dental mission trips, and she was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Hagan is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), New York State Dental Association (NYSDA), Queens County Dental Society (QCDS), New York County Dental Society and The Academy of General Dentistry. When not practicing dentistry, she enjoys painting, board games, and karaoke. After her time in the Bay Area, Dr. Hagan is thrilled to have returned to New York with her husband, and they currently live in Pelham with their child, Rhiannon.
